威士蘭確認其產品安全未受影響

威士蘭乳業（以下簡稱“威士蘭”）表示，沒有證據顯示其產品安全受到了企圖以氟代乙酸鈉(成分為氟醋酸鈉)（1080）污染嬰兒配方奶粉這一威脅的影響。

Westland Milk Products says there is no evidence that the safety of its products has been compromised by a threat to contaminate infant formula with sodium monofluoroacetate (1080).

威士蘭公司首席執行官羅德∙奎因先生說：“在保障我們產品在產銷體系中的安全性方面，我們有十足的信心。”

CEO Rod Quin says, “We are very confident that our products are secure while within our manufacturing and distribution systems.”

“值得注意的是，目前出現的情況並非是因為紐西蘭世界一流的食品安全體系出了什麼問題，而是一個犯罪威脅，而且也正被當作一個犯罪威脅來處理。”奎因先生說。

“It is important to note that this situation has not arisen as a result of any deficiency of New Zealand’s world-class food quality systems,” Quin says. “This is a criminal threat and is being treated as such.

Quin notes that the investigation into the criminal threat is being led by the New Zealand Police supported by a raft of government and industry agencies. “We are doing everything we can to support this investigation and protect consumers.”
